Milrose Consultingês technical objectives were to reduce disk I/O, CPU utilization, network traffic and increase the reliability of their Permit Processing application.

Solution:
FAI analyzed over 500 database objects and made recommendations to optimize and tune the mission critical permit processing SQL database application.

Milrose Consulting is constantly looking for more-efficient ways to utilize its existing infrastructure and as an organization it had expanded in recent years and had increased its through put of permit processing and other related database activity accordingly.

Situation

Because of the number of records sets; end users had to wait 30 seconds in some cases to retrieve their requested results. It was identified that Milrose needed a solution that would offer:

  • Agility to enable Milrose’s staff to swiftly react to customer need.

Solution
FAIês development team initially implemented an error tracking process system to log and monitor behavior aspects of the application. Over time FAI was able to identify not only the bottlenecks with the applications through put, but make recommendation on the table structure.
